KTM is ready for its first appearance in public in the "lap demonstration" when MotoGP will be held at the Red Bull Ring, Austria, Sunday (08/14/2016).
Earlier, KTM will hold a press conference about their readiness to follow the most prestigious motor racing event in the world next season, guided by Stefan Pierer CEO of KTM Group.
KTM RC16 will be officially "out of the cage", driven by test rider Mika Kallio and Alex Hofmann, precisely at 13.15 local time on Sunday.
Kallio also will spur the RC16 racing debut as a wild card rider who pocketed the last MotoGP race in Valencia in November.
Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro will be riding a KTM racing next season. Currently, they are both still under contract with Yamaha Tech 3, so as to affairs of this season they will not engage in any genuine of the Austrian brand bike.
Besides Pierer, KTM will also invite Motorsports Director Pit Beirer and CEO Dorna Carmelo Ezpeleta to release a new mounts. Kallio, Mike Leitner (Vice President Onroad KTM), and Sebastian Risse (Technical Director Onroad) also will make presentations and answer questions.
Sebagai gambaran awal, performa KTM memang belum begitu
menggembirakan. Kallio dan RC16 masih berjarak 2 detik dari waktu
tercepat dalam tes privat di Red Bull Ring yang diikuti hampir semua tim
MotoGP, belum lama ini.
