Not only has a new look, but Serena's fifth generation will be equipped with semi-autonomous technology.

After several spyshot and leaked brochure images in the audience, finally, we can actually witness the real figure of the all-new Nissan Serena generation V.

Not only accept new shape and appearance, with a view of the V-shaped grille which integrated with the main light with a multilevel design.

But the most notable is the introduction of new technology that is now in the spotlight mob spacious, namely autonomous that Nissan called as ProPilot. This system will only be found at the top level trim Serena.

Different than the technology being developed by Tesla, an autonomous system on Serena did not fully take over the helm, so it can be referred as a semi-autonomous.

This system focuses on the steering, acceleration and braking control. In fact, this MPV will perform automatic braking to stop completely when this autonomous system detects emergency events that lie ahead.

It is actually not a new system, because other manufacturers are already implementing the same system a number of years ago. Like the Mercedes-Benz with Radar, Mazda with Smart City Braking System, as well as Ford and others.

ProPilot system is activated by a button on the steering wheel and using a special camera mounted on the front to monitor the streets. But because regulation in Japan requires drivers to hold the steering wheel, so it remains equipped with sensors that require the driver holds the steering wheel.

In other words, this autonomous system still requires the active support of the car. It is what distinguishes a vigorous autonomous technology developed by Tesla.

Generation V Serena will be marketed in Japan late August. Nissan also revealed that the possibility of similar technology will be applied to the Nissan Qashqai for the European market in 2017.

The plan is a semi-autonomous system Nissan will soon be marketed in the United States and China.

Renault-Nissan plans to apply this system on 10 vehicle models, at least for the next 4 years.
