United States Rejects "Recall" of Volkswagen Diesel Engines

Volkswagen recall plan to the 3.0L V6 diesel engined vehicles are equipped with an illegal device to outwit the emissions test rejected one of the state in United States (US), California. Rejection of the proposal made by Volkswagen's environmental watchdog agency, the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

The reason, the proposed procedure Volkswagen was said to be inadequate and the given data failed to show improvements could actually work. Moreover, it turns the process can not be done directly because Volkswagen said it needs to collect data until December.

Volkswagen plans to fix 16,000 3.0L engine in 3 brands:  Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche. Machine troubled designed by Audi.

"The submission of incomplete VW and Audi, have substantial shortcomings, and far from qualified legal to restore these vehicles appropriate certification that has been claimed," CARB wrote in his official statement, as reported by Reuters on Thursday (07/14/2016).

The impact of this failure can steer VW eventually "forced" to buy back the vehicle in question. Earlier, Volkswagen has agreed to spend 10 billion US dollars to buy 475,000 units of 2.0L TDI diesel engine.

Not just that much, the German company also has had to spend 5 billion (Rp 65.4 trillion) again for completing the whole affair.
