"Teaser" of Twinning of Low-Price BMW's Bike



After a long period only tangible concepts and gossip, TVS finally gave teaser of the twin of BMW G310R. Motorcycle which will be named Akula 310 was ready to go at the Auto Expo in India, this year.


Akula 310 is a full fairing version of BMW G310R that already on sale before. Both are the result of collaboration between TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad, they produce duet of small engine capacity motorcycles which offers Prominent tight.

Previously, Akula 310 was also rumored to be born with the name of Apache 300, but the teaser on Twitter @TVSApache_RTR make sure about naming. It said that Akula 310 is a predator of the street with all the advantages.

For example, an engine with configured racing 310 cc liquid-cooled DOHC incorporates an aluminum trellis frame that also said to wear racing specifications. The cooling system is assisted by special air grilles on the fairing.

Akula TVS 310 also comes upside down front forks, monoshock at the rear, two-channel ABS, and a fully digital instrument. Machines produced BMW Motorrad was claimed to achieve a maximum power of 34 tk @ 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm @ 7500 rpm, combined with a 6-speed transmission.

The engine was the same as the BMW 310 R. The price is expected in the range of Rs 1,80 Lakh up to Rs 2,0 Lakh in India. TVS will produce 310 from the factory in Akula Hosur, Tamil Nadu, India.

This model was produced as efficiently as possible to find the best figures in terms of price, in order to compete with the KTM RC390, Ninja 300, until Yamaha R3.
