Lorenzo Appreciates Stoner's Skill

While undergoing a test session at the Red Bull Ring Austria ahead of Moto GP, the Yamaha rider who will move to Ducati next year, Jorge Lorenzo, was very impressed with the performance of the Ducati test rider Casey Stoner.


The triple world champion was even equated Stoner were on the same level as the current Ducati rider Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso. "Casey's talent was unbelieveable," said Lorenzo said, as told Motorsport.com, Wednesday (07/20/2016).

"That's impressive, because he didn't have a normal MotoGP rider confidence, because he didn't race this year," said Lorenzo.

Stoner was third fastest rider during a test day two. His time a little different with Iannone and Dovizioso in front of him. Meanwhile Lorenzo became the sixth fastest rider in sixth all around the circuit.

Stoner decided to retire from MotoGP in 2012, after successfully becoming world champion in 2007 with Ducati and 2011 with Honda. Since the "hanging handlebars" Stoner walk around the world with his wife Adriana and daughter Alessandra Maria Tuchyna.
