Over a decade ago if you ask which is the fastest car of the world, then the answer is the Bugatti Veyron. Golden period Veyron will remain, because the French manufacturer already made his successor, Chiron, and it seems like an inconvinient thing to Mercedes-Benz.

Digital Trends reported on Monday (7/27/2016), the team division of motorsport Mercedes-Benz, AMG, is secretly developing the model of the fastest and strongest ever made in the history of the company. Model Kupe was labeled R50 and all of it would not be found in other AMG family members, including GT R which was introduced last June.

Different than Chiron that rely purely internal combustion engine-powered 8.0L W16 1,500 tk, R50 resembles other hypercar with hybrid drive. R50 is said to have the energy to 1,300 tk, it was amazing because of the ability that much come from a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, plus a pair of electric motors.

2.0L engine power will be setup 1,000 tk, respectively 150 tk-powered electric motor that drives the front wheels. R50 possibilities can move using only the front wheels only for a short distance, if needed.

Excess R50 compared to Chiron, if weighed it only weighs 1,315 kg. While Chiron even more powerful, weighing 1,995 kg.

Organize a large force on the car as light as it can be very difficult, but the key to the design of R50 exist in carbon fiber monocoque chassis, all-wheel drive system, and adaptive suspension.

R50 debut will happen next year, coincided with the celebration of 50 years of AMG. R50 comes as a limited model with a starting price tag of 2.2 million United States dollars.
